This month’s stellar lineup for Tybee City Limits includes two touring bands with deep Savannah roots.

The Kris Youmans Band, currently finalists for the 2016 Georgia Country Music Awards, now are based in Newnan, Ga. Kris’s songwriting style is strongly roots influenced, and as traditional and southern as her hometown of Savannah. Her mighty band, including Warren “Slim” Hall on pedal steel, David Puett on guitar Jonathan Hill on bass and Jesse Jordan on percussion, help to achieve that high and lonesome sound which is the signature to their shows.
Josh Sanders is a singer/ songwriter originally from Faulkville, about 20 miles from Savannah, burst on the Savannah music scene a few years ago, and is now living and working in Nashville. His trio’s sound is country embedded with a hint of southern rock, blues, and folk and he has three albums showcasing his work.

Opening the show is Anders Thomsen, going solo with his six-string and his original tunes with a country sensibility.
