Acclaimed singer-songwriter, Malcolm Holcombe, whose "heartfelt baritone" (NPR) delivers "haunted country, acoustic blues, and rugged folk" (Rolling Stone), headlines this extraordinary acoustic Americana concert, which opens with Savannah’s Jason Bible.
Born and raised in the Blue Ridge Mountains of NC, Holcombe is highly regarded by contemporaries in Americana music, including Emmylou Harris, Wilco, Steve Earle, and Lucinda Williams. An emotionally captivating performer, Holcombe has shared the stage with Merle Haggard, Richard Thompson, John Hammond, Leon Russell, Wilco, Shelby Lynne, Cat Power, and Ray Wylie Hubbard.
He released his 15th studio album, Pretty Little Troubles, this year. Produced by Darrell Scott and Brian Brinkerhoff, Pretty Little Troubles features Holcombe's rasping vocals and bright, percussive guitar accentuating his insightful lyrics. "Malcolm Holcombe is an artist of deep mystery and high art - he is who I listen to, and have for over 20 years - this record goes on my list of "working with my heroes" - all the goods that in value in songs and artistry are in Malcolm...the real deal."- Darrell Scott
Singer/songwriter/guitarist, Jason Bible, the Train Wrecks front man who needs no introduction, opens this show with a set of his soulful Americana roots music.
