After more than six years of touring internationally as a “jam-trio,” Charleston's Dangermuffin releases its sixth album and makes a cool switch to a more folk-rock and acoustic approach, while further displaying their versatility and mature songwriting chops.

Finland’s Markus Helander takes over on drums, freeing Steven Sandifer to play world percussion and upright bass on all tracks. Guitarist Mikie Sivilli plays lots of flat-picking and finger style acoustic in addition to searing electric guitars and extended vocal harmonies. Dan Lotti strums the acoustic rhythm, while anchoring the center of the singer-songwriter approach: vocalizing these widely-accessible, melodic songs. More eclectic than ever, yet exquisitely refined.
