We’re bring two soon-to-be-country superstars to the stage this month.
First up is Abe Partridge from Mobile, Ala. You will be saying you remember him when. He has appeared at the Post in our Savannah Songwriters Series. He’s a former Baptist preacher, Iraq war veteran and now, a lauded singer-songwriter. One reviewer said recently, "I can count on one hand how many live performances I have seen that gripped me, shook me up, and rattled me to the core. Abe Partridge is among them. His astonishing songwriting combined with his shocking performance will haunt you, and his studio recordings equally as strong! His alt-country album, “White Trash Lipstick” was recorded in Nashville,
Following Abe is another veteran of our stage. Kris Youmans, winner of the 2016 Georgia Country Awards for Traditional Artist. Youmans’ songwriting style is strongly Roots influenced, and traditional and southern as her hometown of Savannah. Her mighty band, now based in Newnan, including Barefoot Slim on Steel Guitar, David Puett on Guitar, Patrick Thompson Bass and Jerry Lee Percussion, help to achieve that high and lonesome sound which is the signature to their shows.
