The Young Irelanders

  • Georgia Southern University Performing Arts Center 847 Plant Drive Statesboro, GA, 30460 United States (map)

Making old traditions new again, this group of eight sensational Young Irelanders transports us to lush green Ireland with their fresh, youthful take on Celtic culture. With traditional Irish music, song, and dance running through their veins, these performers have been hand-selected as the best young artists of their respective crafts. Though still in their 20s and 30s, each has achieved more notoriety than most would aspire to in a lifetime, including performances for world leaders such as United States presidents (three of them!) and the Queen of England, leading roles in world-renowned tours of Riverdance and Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance, and collaborations with U2’s Bono and Sting. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day a few weeks early with a taste of the true culture of Ireland as The Young Irelanders create a dynamic performance that ensures the audience enjoys every “step” along the way.
