Salute To Southern Rock!

  • Tybee Post Theater 10 Van Horne Avenue Tybee Island, GA, 31328 United States (map)

It’s a Southern Rock tribute to our military vets with the music of the Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker and Molly Hatchett, brought to you by some of the most seasoned veteran musicians in the Southeast. These three bands have played with or opened for all these Southern rock legends and many more.

High-Velocity, fronted by Ray Tomasino, opens the show. This busy band sports a cast of four guys who have played with Black Oak Arkansas and Molly Hatchet, and have opened for countless touring acts, such as Confederate Rail Road, Ambrosia, and Fire Fall, and still sport an active local career and are "Gettin ‘er Done!"

One of the best bluesmen in the South, Greg Williams, gives us an acoustic set. And then Bounty Hunter rocks the house's final set. This band has been together for 35 years and opened for The Outlaws, .38 Special, Mothers Finest, Blackfoot, Roger Earl's Foghat, Brian Howe of Bad Company, and Gary Sinise's Lt. Dan Band, to name a few!

Special Guest Steve Holland, the last surviving member of Molly Hatchet, will be on hand for jamming, autographs and photos. This special event the weekend before Independence Day is not only a Salute to America's Military but a Tribute to Southern Rock Music.
