A Tribute To Legendary Songwriters

  • Tybee Post Theater 10 Van Horne Avenue Tybee Island, GA, 31328 United States (map)

It all starts with a song, and four Savannah songwriters will honor the legends that gave us some of our favorites. This one-of-a-kind concert features the songs of Bob Dylan, John Prine, Carole King and Kris Kristofferson.

Singer-Songwriter  Stacey "Stace" Mattox is a long-time resident of Savannah.  She grew up singing in the church choirs, and following her creative path, studied music in college.  She both writes & performs her music on piano. Stace released her first album, "Unraveling", in 2017. She will perform the songs of Carole King.

Originally hailing from Cartersville, Aaron Zimmer  is a member of City Hotel, which was voted Connect magazine's Best Acoustic Band in 2013, and Best Bluegrass Band in 2015. The band, which released an album Dogged Days, now primarily performs at festivals, but Zimmer continues to perform regularly around town as a solo act.  He will perform the songs of John Prine.

Jason Bible originally hails from Ft Worth, Texas. He moved to Savannah in 2005 and formed the high-energy  Train Wrecks band. After two years of nearly non-stop touring, the band recorded it's debut album, "Whiskey & War," which was followed by "Saddle Up" and "Roll On." Jason has an active solo career as well. He will perform the songs of Bob Dylan.

Tybee Island singer/songwriter Thomas Oliver is known for his prolific songwriting and varying styles -- country, swing, folk and blues. Instrumental in establishing Savannah Songwriters Series, Thomas focusing on finding those elusive singer/songwriter gigs. He will perform the songs of Kris Kristofferson.
