Drivin N Cryin/SOLD OUT

  • Tybee Post Theater 10 Van Horne Ave Tybee Island, Ga 31328 (map)

It was October 1985 when Drivin N Cryin played their first show at Atlanta’s famed 688 Club. The band quickly gained attention for its blistering live shows and amassed a rabid fanbase in the fertile soil of the late-1980s Southeast music scene.

Now 33 years later, founding members Kevin Kinney and Tim Nielsen have survived the pressures of fame, a shifting musical landscape, multiple lineup changes, and miles of back roads and highways to arrive here -- at the Tybee Post Theater!

Celebrating a gold record, 10 full-length albums and a handful of EPs to their credit, the band refuses to rest on its laurels. The Fall 2017 re-release of Mystery Road on Island Records (Universal) and a Darius Rucker cover of the band’s beloved anthem “Straight To Hell” featuring Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and Charles Kelley (of Lady Antebellum) caused a ton of interest from fans both old and new. In the Summer of 2018 the band re-released their remastered 1997 eponymous album as Too Late To Turn Back Now on New West Records. Most recently, the band blew away crowds at the 2018 Americana Music Festival in Nashville where they played multiple shows featuring songs from an upcoming studio album produced by Aaron Lee Tasjan, slated for release in Spring 2019.

Comfortable with their past and confident in their future, the band has an arsenal of songs, a full tank of gas and no intention of stopping any time soon.
