Ships of the Sea is proud to announce our First Annual Benefit Concert featuring singer-songwriter and advocate, Gaelynn Lea on December 6, 2019, gates will open at 6:30 and concert will begin at 7:00!!

Our inaugural concert will celebrate International Persons with Disabilities Day with the debut of our new elevator, all while spreading the importance of accessibility. *Ticket proceeds will go to benefit Rooted in Rights*

Gaelynn Lea is the 2016 winner of NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Award. She has played over 425 shows in 42 states and seven countries in renowned venues like Nashville’s Music City Roots, The Kennedy Center and House of Blues Chicago. Her craft includes a violin, a voice and a looping pedal. The result is a unique mix of haunting original songs and traditional fiddle tunes. In addition to being a singer-songwriter, Gaelynn is an advocate for disability rights. She herself has a congenital disability called Osteogenesis Imperfecta, or Brittle Bones Disease. She is a strong voice in the disability community fighting for the importance of accessibility while using her music as a platform to advocate for people with disabilities and promote positive social change. She has been able to share her perspective on PBS NewsHour, two widely viewed TEDx Talks and much more.
