This very unique show highlights the collaboration of Colin Gilmore, singer-songwriter, and Velvet Caravan, gypsy swing ensemble.  The idea to bring together these two forces from Texas and Georgia came from the 2015 South By Southwest Music Festival, when all of the members were able to play together in an open jam session in East Austin.  The show will feature each act individually and in combination throughout the concert.  The audience will get to see and hear how a folk/country singer songwriter can explore some of the music pathways of gypsy jazz and swing and how a 5 piece gypsy swing ensemble can dive into a great songwriter’s song collection and arrange the instrumentation in the gypsy swing style.
